Think spring, think green and the annual Green Home Tour!
The 4th annual tours now TWO WEEKENDS, April 25-26 and May 2-3. This is great news as it’s hard to see these wonderful examples of green building in Wake County and Durham, Orange and Chatham.
Here’s the link to the list of participating homes. Free tour guides are available throughout the Triangle including CityGate’s office in Glenwood South.
More improvements to this year! There will be kick-offs in Raleigh as well in Carrboro.

CityGate’s office on 404 Glenwood in the Glenwood South district in Raleigh on April 20th as part of my EcoMondays seminar series from 6-7:30 pm. Pick up a tour book, preview the homes, socialize and enjoy the presentation on Green Building.
· Whole Foods in Raleigh: April 23 6-8pm
Parking lot of Whole Foods in Raleigh – featuring the musical entertainment of Bob Hartford’s band, Not Dead Yet — which includes some multi-talented green builders!
· Century Center in Carrboro: April 25 9-11 am
Sat, Apr 25 from 9 to 11 am at the Carrboro Century Center, and it will be a green building expo with informative booths and speakers.
The Green Home Builders of the Triangle is a joint program of the Home Builders Associatoin of Durham, Orange, & Chatham Counties and the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County. Its focus is bringing green building to the mainstream and certifying homes based on the National Association of Home Builders standards. Close to 250 homes have become certified as green built since the program began with half that many again in process.
