Energy Star 15% Rebate Weekend: April 22-25, 2010
North Carolinians will be able to save 15% when buying qualified Energy Star household appliances during Earth Day weekend – Thursday, April 22 through Sunday, April 25. As part of the energy-related federal stimulus funds that NC is receiving, our state plans to use $8.8 million to offer a 15% rebate to NC residents who are replacing older clothes washers, dishwashers, 
refrigerators and freezers with newer appliances, which will help them save money long-term, cut energy use and stimulate our economy. Click here for more information.
Depending on the funds available, a second phase in June will offer rebates on Energy Star residential gas storage water heaters, tankless gas water heaters, central air conditioners, heat pumps and gas furnaces that replace older items. These rebates will be mail-ins and can be used with purchase through retailers, contractors or programs offered through utilities. Stay tuned for more updates!
North Carolina will also offer its annual Energy Star sales tax holiday this fall – beginning at 12:01 am on Friday, Nov. 5 through 11:59 pm on Sunday, Nov. 7.

Don’t wait till Saturday afternoon as the deals! Each states gets limited amounts of money. In some states the money was GONE within hours of the rebate starting. GO EARLY!
